Felitron Introduces Bluetooth 5.0 Headset with Qualcomm Technology

Qualcomm and Felitron have announced a strategic cooperation for the development of products with Bluetooth technology.

The project aims to develop and manufacture Bluetooth headsets by the Brazilian manufacturer using Qualcomm Technologies International's QCC3034 Bluetooth Low Energy Audio SoC. The headsets will be produced at Felitron's factory in São Paulo, Brazil, and will be available in 15 countries in Latin America.

 

"We have just celebrated 35 years in the market and, to celebrate this important milestone, we are inaugurating a new era in the development and manufacturing of headsets in Brazil," says Felitron CEO Leonardo Fioretti.

 

The first headset to be launched will be available in the first quarter of 2021. It is a Bluetooth 5.0 headset, with very low power consumption, and can be used at home and in the office. The technology features Qualcomm® aptX™ audio for high-definition music, for watching videos and Qualcomm® cVcTM echo cancellation and noise suppression for professional use when answering calls or video conferencing.

 

Moreover, according to Fioretti, this is the first of many products to be launched by Felitron with technology from the American giant. "In addition to the well-known quality of the chipsets," he said, "the Qualcomm Technologies Brazil team gave us all the technical support necessary for this product to be developed quickly and with the highest quality standards. New products are already in development, and Felitron's factory and our development center are already fully adapted for the creation and manufacturing of increasingly smart and innovative Bluetooth devices."
